I’m reading *The Software Engineer’s Guidebook* and it talks about keeping a brag document, a running log of everything you accomplish so you don’t blank out at performance review time.

I liked the idea but I know I’d stop updating it after two weeks, so I automated the whole thing with Claude Code.

I set up a scheduled task that runs every Monday. It scans my git history, pulls completed tickets from Jira, grabs my PRs, and cross-references everything to find work I did that never had a ticket. Then it writes it all to a Notion page.

That last part is honestly the most useful. A lot of the stuff I do day to day never makes it to a board. Code reviews, quick fixes, helping someone debug something, small refactors. Now it actually gets captured.

Pretty happy with how it turned out. It also led to the next project: [the timesheet auto-filler](https://joaoraul.dev/writing/timesheet-auto-filler/).
